About Me
About Me.
My enthusiasm for science and education first emerged about 2 decades ago. I participated actively in the Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientists (JETS) club during my time in high school. In 2007, I helped students that I supervised win the annual junior JETS quiz tournament. At Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria, where I studied Chemistry Education, I honed my laboratory and teaching abilities while providing free weekend classes to prospective students. Following my graduation, I worked as a chemistry and mathematics specialist high school science teacher. Afterwards, I studied chemistry for my master’s degree at the University of Siegen in Germany and completed projects on surface science, gypsum modification, and wastewater recycle. Next, I then enrolled at the University of East London (UEL) to pursue a master’s degree in pharmaceutical science, which I successfully completed with distinction. Subsequently, I began work at East London NHS Foundation Trust as a vaccine bank administrator. Thereafter, I joined AstraZeneca as a molecular biology technician, where I prepared samples for RT-PCR analysis on COVID-19 samples. I later worked as a quality control analyst at Perrigo Company Plc, where I analyzed several medicine formulations and acquired in-depth expertise of quality control test apparatus and techniques. Currently, I’m a quality control chemist at Siemens Healthineers PETNET Solutions, conducting quality control tests on PET biomarkers for early detection and diagnostic imaging of cancers and neurological disorders. In my leisure time, I play football, badminton, and tennis.
